Day 1 : Haguenau

Day 2 : Haguenau to Ingwiller - 52 Km
The Saint Forest to the North of Haguenau sheltered the hermit St Arbogast, first bishop of Strasbourg. In the surroundings, during the XI and XII centuries, the emperors have built churches and abbeys like in Walbourg. Riding through those quiet villages, you will reach Ingwiller.

Day 3 : Ingwiller to Saverne - 40 Km
You will discover a rural and farming Alsace. In the villages, the big farms are perfectly on line and covered with half-timbering and geraniums. In Marmoutier, the abbey will introduce you to Norman architecture of Alsace. Then, you will ride to Saverne, the roses capital with its XVIII th century castle, lazing on the foot of Vosges.

Day 4 : Saverne to Niederbronn-les-Bains - 50 Km
Riding along the foothills of Vosges and through its charming villages, you will reach Neuwiller-lès-Saverne. In this delightful city, main pilgrimage place for St Adelphe bishop, you will visit one of the religious architectural treasures of Alsace. Few kilometers later, Bouxwiller burg will show you its rich past with its numerous and splendid aristocratic houses and manors. It is the ancient capital of Hanau-Lichtenberg county.

Day 5 : Niederbronn-les-Bains to Lembach - 45 Km
You will enter in the fortified castles land, your itinerary wends its way through the Nature Park of Vosges forest, its forgotten villages and its striking natural sites. In Lemback, you will take time to visit the lime-kiln, the ancient underground fortress of the Maginot line.

Day 6 : Lembach to Wissembourg - 45 Km
Lembach is only few kilometers from the German border and this journey will take you to Schönau via the Litschhof pass. You will enjoy the villages that line the cycle path on the german side and that will take you to Wissembourg, a nice medieval city.

Day 7 : Wissembourg to Haguenau - 49 km
The cycle path leaves Wissembourg to reach Seebach. Seeback, like Hoffen, is one of the most beautiful half-timbered villages of Alsace. To join your departure town, you will cross the potters village of Betschdorf which was built on Haguenau forest border.
