Technicality :
0 to 50 km riding per day, ie 3 to 4 hours riding if you wish.

This itinerary on the Canal du Midi, will take you through 44 locks. It is about 110km long and you will navigate about 30 to 35 hours.

The boat layout :   13.21m x 3.92m

- 2 back cabins with 2 single bunk beds.

- 2 central cabins with double beds.

- Big lounge with a piloting deck, 2 seats convertible into 2 double beds. CD player.

- 3 bathrooms with toilet, washbasin and shower.

- Big upper sundeck with another piloting deck.

- Direct acces from the lounge to the front deck by a double glass door.

- Equipment in the kitchen
- Bedding and bath towels for each passenger

To get ready for navigation :
- 1/2 h to learn using the boat with a technician. At the end, you will get a navigation map  (no licence required)
- Cruise documents with the captain's manual are sent to you 3 weeks before in order to become familiar with waterways markings and the rules for crossing the locks.

The boats :
The boats are barges, the only ones that can bear cohabitation of bikes and passengers on the upper deck.
 

What has to be counted :

- Diesel oil (per hour) more or less 6.5€ (rate mentioned as an indication, it can vary during the season) The tank is filled up when arriving and it is enough for the journey. The fuel is not included, an advance will be asked at the beginning and the balance will be done at the end.

- Cleaning fixed rate : 120€
- Insurance : Damage waiver 8 days and + 190€

The bike :

Hybrid bike with 21 gears. At the end of the tour, you will leave the bike on the boat.For more than 6 rented bikes, consult us for rates.

If you come with your own bike, at the end of tour, you will have to take care of your bike. It cannot be benefit from our company theft insurance, you must do what is necessary. Don't forget your lock.

Return transfer :
The boat stays in Homps, to get back to Castelnaudary you can :

• Book a taxi from Homps to Lézignan and there take to train to Castelnaudary (the train station is 500m from the port)
• Ask us to deliver your can in Homps.

Transport :  Location
- By train : TER train station in Castelnaudary. TGV train stations in Toulouse and Carcassonne.

- By car : Castelnaudary is on the motorway A61 between Toulouse and Narbonne.
- By plane :  Toulouse aiport.
