Day 1 - Arrival in Castelnaudary at 2 PM
Introduction and settling in boat with the bikes (if you have chosen the option Bike rental)
At 4 PM, you will sail away to Le Ségala (navigation of 2h30) and stop for the night.
Day 2 - Bike tour to Revel and navigation to Castelnaudary
You will ride on a cycle path along a little channel in the plain (one of the water supply of Canal du Midi) up to Revel. Revel is a nice medieval city with a central place that preserved its charm and market on Wednesdays. Back to the boat and navigation to Castelnaudary. Revel has been a center of art furniture and marquetry for a century. You may visit the factory and the wood craft conservatory.
Day 3 - Navigation from Castelnaudary to Bram (about 5h) and stop for the night.
Leaving the boat for a bicycle ride to Bram village and back to the boat. There, you will find a restaurant and some local product are sold.
Day 4 - Navigation from Bram to Carcassonne (about 4h) and stop for the night.
Enjoy Carcassonne, the barge is moored near the train station and the center. Take your bike and enjoy the city. If you get there early, go up to the fortified city of Carcassonne.
Day 5 - Loop route to Carcassonne and navigation to Trebes.
If you want, you may ride a loop route to the Minervois massif. Or, if you did not do it on Day 4, free visit of Carcassonne City which is a real medieval jewel. This visit will transport you to Middle Ages.
Navigation to Trèbes (about 4 hours) and stop for the night
Day 6 - Navigation from Trèbes to Puycheric. (about 5h)
Leaving the boat and going for a ride for a viticultural morning. You may visit Canet Castle in Rustiques, Borineuve Castle in Badens and a jam fabric in Trèbres. Back to the barge and navigation to Puycheric.
Day 7 - Navigation to Homps (about 3h) and riding to Le Somail.
Navigation to Homps in the morning to enjoy the rest of the day riding to Le Somail, little typical village along the Canal du Midi. You may visit the hat making or the old bookshop which houses more than 50 000 books. You may ride to Mirepeisset where you will enjoy channel bridge and the "Epanchoir des Patiasses".
Day 8 - End of the tour after breakfast at 9 AM
