
 
Day 1 - Arrival in Toulouse
Arrival in Toulouse, settling at the hotel, your road book is at the reception.Night in an Hotel*** (B/B) Diner not included in the price. Possible indoor parking space for your vehicle
Day 2 - From Toulouse to Castelnaudary 48 km
Bike collect at 9:00 and departure. You will join the cycle path in the heart of Toulouse. This path is paved and in condition. The towpath is wider enough to make sure passing other cyclists safely. You may visit Paul Riquet Museum, built in favour of the designer of this great work from last century.

Day 3 - Loop route to Revel 49km
You will ride on a cycle path along a rivulet (that feeds the Canal du Midi) to Revel. Revel is a nice medieval city with a central square that kept its charms and its market on Wednesdays.

Day 4 - Castelnaudary to Carcassonne 52 km
This stage will lead you to Carcasonne, fortress city. By itself, this fortress is worth the stop, its architecture is so impressive. During the summer, many festivals enliven the streets.

Day 5 - Visit of Carcassonne and fortress hamlet.
Free visit. Authentic medieval jewel, Carcassonne will elate you to the Middle Ages. If you wish so, you may cycle on a loop route around Carcassonne.

Day 6 - Carcassonne to Narbonne 69 km
The terrain is flat but some parts of the cycle paths are in poor condition. Though, an hybrid bike overcomes easily these difficulties. Though this stage is quite long, it is possible to take a ter train from Cacassonne to Lézignan to reduce the stage to 35 km. For your pleasure, you will leave the canal to join Narbonne by the Canal de la Robine.

Day 7 - Loop route : 2 options 45 km
- Journey toward Port La Nouvelle or Gruissan beaches by the Canal de la Robine, or
- Back to the Canal du Midi toward Béziers. The canal dominates the area, in a bend you will get to the Opidium of Ansérune, an ancient roman fortification. You will get to Béziers by the 9 Fonsérane locks that allow boats to overcome a 25 meters change in altitude. Back to Narbonne

Day 8 - Narbonne to Toulouse
End of the tour after breakfast
Back to Toulouse by train in the morning. This train accepts bikes.
Or extension and free visit of Toulouse in the afternoon with extra night in Toulouse (option).
