 
This tour is in the south of Amsterdam, on the western part of Netherlands. This area has many canals, lakes and rivers. Shaped over the centuries, the landscape was born out of peat bogs and polders. It is a peaceful place with an environment rich in nature and jealously protected by the inhabitants. They understood, long-ago, that their future and their children's future depend on the environment. It begins and ends in Utrecht. Downtown, there are many channels and shipyards, as well as historical monuments, museums and your hotel.
Day 1 - Arrival in Utrecht. - 16km
Settling at the hotel. We advise you a city tour of Utrecht. It will be a good first connection with the "bicycle country".
Day 2 - From Utrecht to Weesp - 41 Km
Journey along the river "Vecht", you ride through typical villages such as Maarssen, Breukelen, Loenen, Vreeland and Nigtevegt. In the picturesque village of "Oud-Zuilen", you may visit the Middle-Age castle. You will also appreciate "Loosdrecht" Lake.

Day 3 - From Weesp to Nieuwkoop - 50 Km
You will follow the River Gein, through Amsterdam southern countryside, along windmills and polders. You will reach the picturesque village of "Abcoude". You will see some strongholds which are part of the "Stelling of Amsterdam". Along "Kromme Mijdrecht", you will cross "Nieuwkoop" lakes in the middle of a natural marsh area. Back to you hotel in "Zuideinderplas".
Day 4 - From Nieuwkoop to Utrecht - 50 Km
The last day, you will ride along "Zegveld" storks migration zone. You will cross the fortified town of "Woerden". "Woerden" was considered as the "Key of Netherlands". The Fortress that rounds the historical central is worth the visit. You will continue along "Harmelen" to "De Haar"castle. You may visit this romantic castle with its splendid park. Then you will reach Utrecht.
