On a European level, the "Loire à vélo" trail is part of the Eurovelo route also known as Eurovelo 6. It links the Atlantic coast to the Black sea along the rivers (Loire, Rhine, Danube) through 10 countries and 3650 km.

On the itinerary, cycle paths alternate with small quiet roads in order to get closer to the Loire Valley attractions. For your convinience, the route is signeposted in both directions.
