Day 1: Arrival in Faro and transfer to Tavira
For practical reasons (Faro Airport is the best served in the region), the transfer between Faro and Tavira is included. Allow 45 minutes to reach your hotel from the airport. After settling in, a walking tour is a must, as Tavira is one of the prettiest towns in the Algarve.
- Walk to the castle and take a stroll along the ramparts, which offer a lovely view of the city.
- Stroll through the town center with its cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and azulejos.
- Have a drink or eat in the Republic Square.
- If you want to see the sea, magnificent beaches are located less than 5 km from the city center.

Day 2: Tavira Loop (38 km / + 300 m)
This first route to discover the Algarve by bike takes you into the hinterland. Discover small villages, follow small country roads, and cycle through orange groves. At Santo Estevão and "Pego do Inferno," you can admire a charming waterfall. Return to Tavira.

Day 3: From Tavira to Faro (50 km / + 300 m)
Today's stage begins in the picturesque fishing village of Fuseta. With its colorful fishing boats, lively harbor, and authentic atmosphere, it's a charming break. Continue through the magnificent Ria Formosa Natural Park. It's one of the most beautiful in the country and a true bird paradise. The route offers extraordinary viewpoints.

Day 4: From Faro to Olhos de Agua (40 km / + 300 m)
Leave Faro behind by first following the river, then cycling through the Ria Formosa Natural Park before taking the Ludo route. This hiking trail is famous for its frequent sightings of flamingos and other protected species. You cycle between land and lagoon, discovering varied landscapes: forests, marshes, and salt marshes. Your ride ends in Olhos de Agua, a pretty seaside resort.

Day 5: From Olhos de Agua to Carvoeiro (41 km / + 500 m)
Today's route takes you to Albufeira, whose beach is undoubtedly the most famous in the country. Its immense size lies at the foot of the town, whose white houses, built on the cliffs, overlook the ocean. After enjoying the beach, head back to the Salgados Lagoon, a popular birdwatching spot. In Carvoeiro, your overnight stop, don't miss Vale Covo Beach, which is just a short walk from your hotel.

Day 6: From Carvoeiro to Silves (38 km / +400 m)
Today's itinerary takes you away from the coast and the blue ocean to head inland, towards landscapes that have regained their greenery. Follow the Arade River before reaching two charming villages: Estômbar and Lagos. Continuing on, as the landscape becomes increasingly green and changes in appearance, you pass a golf course. In Silves, visit the imposing Moorish castle that dominates the town. The cobblestone streets, the Gothic cathedral, and the friendly locals give the town a unique and very pleasant atmosphere.

Day 7: From Silves to Lagos (49 km / +500 m)
Final stop and return to the coast today! You'll reach Lagos by sea and an incredibly long beach. Considered one of the oldest towns in the Algarve, leave some time before going out for dinner to enjoy the town on foot. Its old town, the Ponta da Bandeira fort, its market, and the Ponta da Piedade peak are all worth a visit. It's also a great opportunity to sample the local specialties one last time.
