Day 1: Chalon-sur-Saône - Louhans (40 km - level 1/4 - 3h)
Appointment in the morning in Chalon: reception, delivery of travel documents, checking and adjustment of bicycles.

Your first laps around La Bresse will take you to Louhans, the capital of Burgundy Bresse. Among other things, you can visit the old hospital and its pharmacy, or simply stroll under the arcades.

Day 2: Louhans - Pont-de-Vaux (49 km - level 2/4 - 4h)
Before leaving Louhans, do not miss the traditional poultry market, one of the most famous in France. The squares around the Saint Pierre church are decorated with all the colors and it is good to breathe the Burgundy tradition with the stalls.
You will then join the edges of Saone at the level of Tournus.
Take the time to visit its medieval streets, its abbey Saint-Philibert (masterpiece of the first Romanesque art) and the Museum of Bicycle: more than 200 pieces that trace the history of the Little Queen ...
Overnight half-board at Pont de Vaux (gastronomic stage!).
Day 3: Pont-de-Vaux - Cluny (49 km - level 2/4 - 4h)
After breakfast, return to the banks of the Saône to join Macon.
Then it's immersed in the Mâconnais vineyard, breathtaking landscapes and magnificent views of the Solutré rock, one of the largest prehistoric deposits in Europe, occupied by man for 50,000 years.
The rest of the stage takes you to the foot of the Château de Berzé-le-Châtel, the largest fortress of Southern Burgundy, a romantic place to visit.

Day 4: Cluny - Givry (47 km - level 2/4 - 4h)
Before leaving Cluny, visit the Benedictine Abbey of Cluny, the largest religious building in Europe. Founded in 910 by the Duke of Aquitaine, this monastery which still includes today a church, a cloister and a convent is at the origin of the Romanesque architectural model.
Back on the Greenway, take north towards the castle of Cormatin, gardens and water features.
You will then find the vineyards, with the Côte Chalonnaise, dotted with pretty medieval villages: Malay, St-Gengoux-Le-National and Buxy. Night half board in Givry.
Day 5: Givry - Beaune (47 km - level 1/4 - 4h)
After a few kilometers on small country roads, you join the Canal du Center which you will follow until Santenay.
You then take the Vineyard Route to Beaune, by the biggest climates of Burgundy: Pommard, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet ...The vineyards of the Côte de Beaune will have no secrets for you!
Night with breakfast in Beaune (free dinner).
Day 6: Beaune - Chalon-sur-Saône (47 km - level 1/4 - 4h)
Do not leave Beaune without making a few visits ...
. the famous Hospices and their glazed tiles
. the House of Climats, to know everything about this particular Burgundy
. Fallot Moutarderie, a visit that will not miss a spice!
. the city and the tower of the ramparts, with its dozen defensive towers
Then return to Chalon with a new view of the mosaic Climats, a small stopover in Chagny and a smooth end of the Canal du Center.
