This cycling trip in the Netherlands begins and ends in the city of cycling: Amsterdam, with its canals, parks and museums! Discover its city center and its architecture dating from the 17th century! You will leave Amsterdam to cross a picturesque Dutch landscape and enjoy its splendid panoramas with its windmills while following the cycle paths. Day 1: Amsterdam
Start your stay with a bike tour in Amsterdam, discovering its streets, cafes and moments. Your city center hotel is located near the Museumplein, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Van Gogh Museum. Cross the banks of the IJsselmeer and leave the city to discover the countryside around the Zuiderzee, you will be charmed by its typical villages, its woods, its rivers and its lakes.
Day 2 : Volendam - Katwoude - 44 km
Go on a bike tour to the village of Volendam and dive back 100 years! Volendam is known for its harbor, the fishing trade, its authentic Dutch character, and its traditional costumes. Continue your bike ride through villages like Katwoude and discover its cozy streets. Then join Zaandam.
Day 3 : Zaandam - 46 km
Departure from Zaandam towards Haarlem, its historic city center, surrounded by canals, is littered with old streets and monuments from the 16th to the 19th century. Then cross the dunes to the seaside resort of Noordwijk or Katwijk.
Day 4 : Noordwijk aan Zee - 49 km
This Holland bike trip brings you back to Amsterdam via the Bollenstreek, a region of coastal dunes and flower bulb cultivation. You can admire the blooming tulips, daffodils and hyacinths.
Day 5 : Delft - 52 km
Delft is known around the world for its porcelain, Johannes Vermeer and the Royal House. Explore the city's past as you stroll along the canals and admire the churches, mansions and courtyards. Delt is a university town that invites you to browse its canals ... consider taking a break in one of its many pubs!
Day 6 : Rotterdam - 23 km or Kinderdijk - 15 to 30 km
Meet at the port city of Rotterdam. Unlike the other cities that you will visit during this stay in Holland, Rotterdam is a
modern city with skyscrapers. On the same day, you can take a route to Kinderdijk. Nowhere in the world will you see so many windmills together.
Day 7 : Amsterdam - 55 km
For this last day by bike, you will follow the Amstel river back to Amsterdam. Take the opportunity to visit the neighborhoods of the city center dating from the end of the 19th century, with its beautiful architectural buildings.
