Exceptional cycling trip to discover Lot-et-Garonne and the Dordogne ! Discover the gastronomy, the culture as well as the conviviality of these superb regions. On the banks of the Garonne, you leave from Agen, a city where life is good. Visit typical medieval villages as well as fortified castles such as Monpazier, la Roque, Gageac and Sarlat classified as the most beautiful villages in France. Lovers of gastronomy will have the opportunity to taste typical dishes of the region such as truffles, foie gras or duck confit.
You will be warmly welcomed throughout the trip in *** or **** hotels or charming guest rooms.

Day 1 : Arrival in Agen


Arrival and installation at your accommodation in Agen. Reception in hotel ***.
Documentation on the region and a logbook are given to you.

In Agen, the capital of prunes, you can visit the Museum of Fine Arts which exhibits five paintings by Goya including the self-portrait, and other Spanish works from the 18th and 19th centuries. Enjoy the city center and its many shops, farmers and local products.

Day 2 : from the Garonne Valley to the Lot Valley, Agen - Villeneuve sur Lot - 45 km

Your bike tour passes through pretty country roads to arrive at the medieval Bastide of Villeneuve sur Lot. You can visit the Fois Gras museum and discover its manufacturing secrets! Continue to Penne d´Agenais, renowned for being one of the most beautiful villages in France.
In Villeneuve-sur-Lot, known for its vast and powerful bastide in the South West, discover a rich historical heritage with Place Lafayette and its cutlery, the towers of Pujols and Paris, half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, the Pont des Cieutat.

Day 3 : From the Lot Valley to the Dordogne, Villeneuve sur Lot - Monpazier - 50 km


Continue your cycling trip to Monflanquin, you ride through woods and forests to the fortress of Gavaudun. Continue to the town of Biron where you will have the opportunity to discover a fortified castle! Enjoy a pleasant end of the stage through authentic landscapes to the Bastide de Monpazier, another village classified as "most beautiful in France". This bastide is considered to be the most beautiful among the 300 bastides in the south-west.

Day 4 : Les Bastides du Périgord, Monpazier - Siorac - 45 km

Your cycle route takes you on the Périgord “bastides route”. Departing from Monpazier, discover 13th century English bastides and remarkable religious buildings such as the Cadouin cloister, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. End this walk in the Perigord Noir, the most famous and touristic site in the Dordogne, known for its castles, prehistoric sites, medieval villages and magnificent landscapes.

Day 5 : Castles and most beautiful villages in France, Siorac - Sarlat - 45 km

Day to discover the Périgord noir and its most beautiful castles: Les Milandes, Castelnaud or Beynac. Drive along the Dordogne to meet medieval villages such as La Roque Gageac which will amaze you with its picturesque side. Your cycling stopover ends in the gastronomic capital of Périgord Noir in Sarlat.

Savor regional cuisine: foie gras, truffles and duck and browse its winding streets, its vaulted passages, its cathedral and its 15th and 16th century mansions. The medieval city of Sarlat is also famous for its many listed or registered historical monuments!

Day 6 : Loop in the heart of prehistory, Sarlat - Les Eyzies - Sarlat - 45 Km

This last day of cycling guides you through the heart of the “Vézère Valley” and prehistoric times, towards “Les Eyzies”. Discover many treasures through caves, deposits or shelters under rocks. This is where Cro-Magnon Man was discovered and where the world's wonders of cave art can be found! Visit exceptional prehistoric sites, most of them listed as UNESCO heritage. Discover Homo sapiens, his daily activities and his art. You can then enjoy a last night in Sarlat, an emblematic town of Périgord.

Weather :

Food :

- Breakfasts: generous (coffee, tea, chocolate, milk, butter, bread, jam, orange juice)

- Dinner: not included.


The bike :

- Rental bicycle: If you rent a bicycle, it will be given to you on the day of your arrival at the 1st hotel. A security deposit will be requested.
At the end of the tour, you will have to leave this bike at the last accommodation and notify reception. We will take care of his return.
We offer specific equipment for children, seats, small hitched bikes and trailers.

- Personal bike: We do not recommend bikes with small tires. Hybrid bikes and mountain bikes are excellent. Remember to check your bicycle before setting off.
At the end of the tour, you will need to take care of your own bicycle. If you have rented a bicycle, it will be picked up at the hotel.



- Assistance in the event of breakdown (except punctures for which we do not intervene)
- In case of bad weather or if you cannot ride a bike for a day, possibility of a direct journey to the next stage.


They are transported by a courier or by our team and limited to one piece of luggage per person (max. 20 kg).


Roadbook :

We will provide you with detailed maps and a description of the routes when you arrive at the first hotel. We will also give you vouchers for hotels and restaurants as well as luggage tags.


Transport :

- By train: SNCF TGV to Agen in around 3 hours from Montparnasse station. For more information on timetables, contact SNCF.
- By road: A10 and A62 / E72 motorways, exit 7. Paris is 700 km from Agen.


Your car :

A parking space is available at the first hotel, payable locally.
