Day 1: Auxerre - Chablis - 45 km
When you arrive at the Maison du Vélo in Auxerre, you'll be welcomed with a presentation of your trip and given your travel documents. Your first cycle ride takes you along the Yonne Valley to the Cistercian abbey of Pontigny. Its exceptional state of preservation highlights the nobility of its twelfth-century architecture. A few kilometres further on, the prestigious vineyards of Chablis await you. Round off this wonderful day with a tasting of the famous Chardonnay, an experience not to be missed to tantalise your taste buds.

Day 2: Chablis - Dissangis - 38 km
Your adventure continues towards L'Isle-sur-Serein. On the way, you pass along the peaceful Serein valley and stop off at Noyers-sur-Serein, a medieval pearl listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. With its cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and 78 listed buildings, this Burgundy town seems frozen in time. It's a fascinating journey into the heart of Burgundy's heritage, where every turn reveals a new architectural gem.

Day 3: Dissangis - Vézelay - 49 km
After breakfast, the town to reach is Vézelay! On the way, you cycle to the delightful village of Montréal, before reaching the Cousin valley, a veritable jewel case of nature at the gateway to the Morvan. Here, an abundance of biodiversity flourishes between winding rivers and verdant forests. On arrival, take time to explore the hilltop village of Vézelay and marvel at the majestic Basilica of Sainte-Madeleine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 4 : Vézelay - Accolay/Arcy-sur-Cure - 38 to 45 km
Leaving Vézelay, you follow charming country roads into the Chamoux valley, before joining the Yonne and the Canal du Nivernais. For almost 30 km, the route reveals a rich natural and historical heritage: the picturesque medieval town of Châtel-Censoir, the park's nature reserve, then the impressive Saussois rocks, the remains of an ancient coral reef sculpted by time. Your itinerary ends in style at Mailly-le-Château, perched majestically on its cliff face and offering a breathtaking panorama.

Day 5: Accolay/Arcy-sur-Cure - Auxerre - 28 to 45 km
On this final stage, you cycle along the peaceful Canal du Nivernais, nicknamed the ‘garden canal’ for its soothing green landscapes. Along the way, take in the history of the villages you pass through and the vineyards of the Auxerrois region. Your first stop is Irancy, a charming village renowned for its famous pinot noir: a tasting session is a must! You then continue on to Bailly, where huge cellars carved out of ancient stone quarries house the prestigious Crémant de Bourgogne. Finally, you follow the Yonne towards Auxerre to discover its old town and its rich heritage.
