From Redon to Quimper along the Canal de Nantes à Brest by bike

DAY 1 - Arrival in Redon

The first night is in Redon. Door-gate of Morbilhan Gulf, the rive traffic intersection of Redon is the starting point of this tour in Central Brittany. By way of warming up, take time to ride along the old dock-sides, to cross the bridges and footbridges and admire the ancient shipowners and merchants houses.

Ground :

Flat, very smooth roads and paths. Program with 80% of cycle paths and towpaths in good condition and maintained. The last stage is hilly.

Weather :

Pleasant, little precipitation.

Roadbook :

You'll receive travel documents with practical information before your departure by post, as well as access to our hiking application by e-mail. The documents include hotel and restaurant vouchers and luggage tags.

Technicality:

40 to 60 km of hiking per day, or about 3 to 5 hours of cycling.
Easy to follow route, accessible to all cyclists.

Meals:

Breakfasts: generous (coffee, tea, chocolate, milk, butter, bread, jam, orange juice) or buffet.
Lunches: not included
Dinners: are not included.

The bike :

- Rental bike: Dutch type 7-speed bikes or 21-speed VTC which will be delivered to your 1st hotel on the morning of day 2.
 A security deposit will be requested. the return is done by train or if you wish we will repatriate people, luggage and bikes by minibus.

- Personal bike: We do not recommend bikes with small tires. The city bikes and mountain bikes are excellent. Remember to check your bicycle before setting off.
At the end of the tour, you will need to take care of your own bicycle.

Assistance:

Assistance in the event of breakdown (except punctures for which we do not intervene).

Luggage:

During the stay, they are transported by a courier or by our team and limited to one piece of luggage per person (max. 20 kg).

- By train: TER and TGV station in Redon.
- By road: D177 from Rennes, N137 and D164 from Nantes (free motorways in Brittany)
- By plane: Nantes airport
