Cycling route around the Gulf of Morbihan

Day 1 - Vannes
Free arrival in Vannes and check-in from 4 PM. Vannes welcomes you with its medieval charm, featuring ramparts, cobbled streets, and half-timbered houses. Stroll through the old town and along the lively port, lined with cafés, restaurants, and shops.
Overnight in Vannes.
Day 2 - From Vannes to the Isle of Arz - 15 km
Welcome and meet our guide at your accommodation at 8 AM or 9 AM. From Vannes' historic center, cycle 3 km to the pier and take a boat to Île d’Arz. Once there, explore its charming roads and trails by bike for about 10 km. Let yourself be amazed by the ever-changing landscapes of the Gulf and savor every moment of this getaway.
Overnight on the Île d’Arz or in Vannes, depending on availability on the island and ferry schedules.
Boat crossing: one way to the Ile d'Arz (30 minutes) or return if the night is in Vannes (30 minutes x2).
Day 3 - From the island of Arz / Vannes to Arzon - 35 to 44 km
Departing from Île d’Arz, board the ferry to reach the Séné peninsula, then continue for a few kilometers before taking a second boat to the Rhuys peninsula at Saint-Armel. From there, follow the southern shores of the "little sea" to reach Arzon. Along the way, discover the famous Château de Suscinio and the charming village of Sarzeau via small roads and greenways.
From Vannes: Take the ferry to the Rhuys peninsula at Saint-Armel, then follow the southern shore of the "little sea" to Arzon.
Overnight stay in Arzon.

From Île d’Arz:
→ One-way trip from Île d’Arz to the Séné peninsula (15 minutes) + one-way trip from Séné to Saint-Armel (5 minutes) + cycling route to Arzon.

From Vannes:

Day 4 - D’Arzon, full day on Ile aux Moines - 15 km
Board the ferry to reach Île aux Moines! A short 3 km bike ride will take you to the boat, where you can enjoy a self-guided cycling tour and discover the island’s rich flora and fauna. Take the opportunity to savor the local cuisine—seafood, crêpes, galettes, cider, and more!
Return in the late afternoon (5 PM).
Overnight in Arzon.
Boat trip: Round trip Iles aux moines (1 hour)
Day 5 - D’Arzon to Carnac - 29 or 35 km
Take back a ferryman to cross the waters of the Gulf! Head for the north shore to discover other riches of Morbihan. It will also be an opportunity to discover the alignments of Carnac, it is here that we will find the biggest menhirs ! Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Bay of Quiberon.

Boat crossing: one way Port-Navalo - Locmariaquer (25 minutes)
Day 6 - From Carnac to Auray - 25 or 55 km
Today, set off for Auray, a charming Breton village. Stroll along the river and explore the port of Saint-Goustan, an iconic site in southern Brittany. For a longer adventure, continue your journey to Saint-Cado Island, nestled in the Ria d’Étel—one of the region’s most beautiful gems—leaving behind the landscapes of the Gulf of Morbihan.
Upon arrival, be captivated by the authentic charm of Auray’s historic center.

Day 7 - From Auray to Vannes - 38 km
Get closer to the Gulf of Morbihan as you cross the suspended bridge of Bono, then head to its traditional port before cycling towards Baden, where breathtaking views of the gulf’s islands await. Continue through Arradon, admiring its stunning panoramas, before completing your journey in Vannes.
Take this opportunity to enjoy one last picnic by this incredible landscape.

Day 8 - Vannes
End of the trip after breakfast in Vannes. Possibility to book an extra night to fully enjoy this charming medieval city.
