EuroVelo 6 map and advice

A cycle route nicknamed the Rivers Cycle Route.

From the Atlantic to the Black Sea, EuroVelo 6 is a cycle route that crosses from east to west. It passes through no fewer than 10 countries (France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria) and runs along three major European rivers (six in total): the Loire, the Rhine, and the Danube, hence its nickname.
EuroVelo 6 is undoubtedly the most accomplished European cycle route. Nearly 75% of the 3,650 km route is complete. From Saint-Brévin-les-Pins to Budapest, the route is fully signposted and almost exclusively on dedicated roads.
Thanks to this developed cycling infrastructure, this cycle route is the benchmark for cycle tourism and also the most traveled cycle route in Europe.

The Loire by Bike, a historic French cycle route.

EuroVelo 6 in France follows a well-known and renowned route, La Loire à Vélo, which continues past Nevers to Burgundy before crossing into Switzerland. It is one of the most popular cycling routes in France. The heritage, vineyards, and tranquility of the Loire Valley attract numerous French and foreign tourists every year. From Orléans to Nantes, we offer various options for an excellent cycling holiday along the Loire.

The route is a French inter-regional initiative that began in 1995. However, it wasn't until 2008 that the first section was inaugurated, in the Cher region.

The Danube à Vélo, the first European cycling route.

At 2,850 km long, the Danube is the second longest river in Europe after the Volga. It rises in Germany and flows into the Black Sea. The Danube Valley is renowned for the diversity and beauty of its landscapes, as well as for the prestigious cities (Passau, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, etc.) that thrive along its banks. The quality of the local cycle paths allows for a relaxing ride.
We offer bike and boat tours to fully enjoy the Danube in a unique way, as well as "classic" cycling trips.
