Day 1: Amsterdam
Get your bearings in the Dutch capital. After dropping off your bags at your hotel, head to the historic city, stroll through one of the many parks or visit the museum district. There are many options available to you. The city, famous for its canals and picturesque architecture, is very lively and has a unique atmosphere.
Day 2: Volendam loop (78 km)
If you opt for this loop, you will visit the beautiful villages of Marken, Volendam and Edam on the coast of what was once the Zuiderzee. Marken and Volendam are picturesque old fishing ports while Edam is a lively and authentic city, famous for its orange-skinned cheese. It is through picture-postcard landscapes that your bike will take you there.
If you prefer a shorter route, we recommend the Haarlem loop (46 km), an elegant city nicknamed "The Beauty of Holland", where you can visit many museums.
Day 3: Muiden loop (63 km)
Today's destination Muiden, located at the mouth of the Vecht River. If the village is quite charming, it is surely its splendid castle dating from 1280 that leaves the most impression. On the route you pass through Naarden and its impressive star-shaped fortifications. Its walls and moats are really well preserved.
Day 4: Zaandam loop (45 km)
The Zaan Valley was industrialized very early thanks to the exploitation of the power of the winds. For example, hundreds of windmills contributed significantly to the construction of enormous merchant ships that brought prosperity to Amsterdam. This is a very interesting route for fans of industrial heritage. In addition to old factories and picturesque warehouses along the river, you will discover the imposing windmills of Zaanse Schans, which still produce mustard, paint and oil today. Return to Amsterdam.
Day 5: Amsterdam
End of the tour after breakfast. Before leaving, make sure you have taken the unmissable boat trip on the canals. Possibility of additional nights.
