Around the Constanz lake by bike 

Lake Constance lies between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is famous for its picturesque towns and villages, among which are Güttingen, Stein / Rhein and Gottmadingen. This short, sporty cycling holiday invites you to explore the stunning landscapes around Lake Constance.

Day 1 : Arrival in Constance

Delivery of travel documents and handling of bicycles.
Discover the old quarter of Niederburg and its lined medieval houses that house rustic wine bars. In particular, you can admire the cathedral and the port in the beautiful city of Constance!
Overnight in Constance.

Day 2: Constance - Stein a. Rh. / Constance, approx. 75 km

You take the Gnadensee by bike to Radolfzell, a former imperial city that became a spa. Continue through the countryside along the Höri Peninsula to Stein am Rhein with its many frescoed houses. Return to Constance through the fishing villages along the shores of the lake. Overnight in Constance.

Day 3: Constance - Bregenz - approx. 65 km + boat trip

You take the boat from Constance to Meersburg and continue your journey along the vineyards passing the birthplace of the Zeppelin (airship) in Friedrichshafen (it is possible to visit its museum). Resume your journey towards the Bavarian town of Lindau which is not lacking in originality and history. Then continue your journey to Bregenz the capital of this region of Vorarlberg in Austria known for its famous festival.
Overnight in Lindau or Bregenz.

Day 4: Bregenz - Constance, 70/85 km

Crossing of the Rhine Delta Nature Park to Altenrhein. You continue on the Lake Constance cycle path through apple orchards and the towns of Arbon and Romanshorn. Then return to Constance, the stage of about 80 km is facilitated by the very flat relief and well-equipped cycle paths. End your stay with a stroll through the old town and enjoy an ice cream or a good beer.

5th Day: End of the tour

Technicality:

- 60 to 85 km of hiking per day, or about 4 to 5 hours of cycling.

- Partly signposted route, map reading desired.

The bike :

- Rental bike: 21-speed VTC. A security deposit will be requested. It can be picked up from our correspondent in Constance.

 At the end of the tour, you will have to leave the rented bike at the hotel and notify reception.

- Personal bike: We do not recommend bikes with small tires. Hybrid bikes and mountain bikes are excellent. Remember to check your bicycle before setting off.

At the end of the circuit, you will have to take care of your bike.

Assistance:

Assistance in the event of breakdown (except punctures for which we do not intervene).

Luggage:

During the stay, they are transported by a courier or by our team and limited to one piece of luggage per person. (max. 20 kg)

Road book :

We will provide you with detailed maps and a description of the routes when you arrive at the first hotel. We will also give you vouchers for hotels and restaurants as well as luggage tags.

- By road: Bregenz is 260 km east of Strasbourg and 230 km from Mulhouse.
- By plane: Zurich Airport, Friedrichshafen, Stuttgart.

Possibility of parking with our local correspondent 40 € per week or free parking in town.
