Settle into the medieval city of Blois, where every street corner tells a story. Along the Loire, its majestic Royal Castle, its imposing cathedral and its half-timbered houses immerse you in a timeless atmosphere.
Day 2: Chambord loop (41 or 47 km)
This first stage by bike aims to discover the majestic Château de Chambord, planted in the middle of an immense national forest. Leave Blois by taking the cycle path that runs alongside the Loire before turning away from the river to reach the building, famous for its magnificent façades, its double-spiral staircase and its 426 rooms. The return to Blois is on secondary roads.
Day 3: Cheverny loop (46 km)
Today, you leave the Loire to reach the Château de Cheverny by pedaling between vineyards, orchards and fields. The Château de Cheverny, less impressive than its colleagues at Chambord or Chenonceau, inspired Hergé to draw the Château de Moulinsart in Tintin. It is also richly furnished. Return to Blois.
Day 4: from Blois to Amboise (43 km)
Leave behind the Royal Château of Blois, to pedal towards another Royal Château, that of Amboise. On the way, stop at the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire where, in addition to the magnificent Château, you can visit "Le Centre d'Arts et de Nature" and "Le Festival international des jardins". Once in Amboise, explore Leonardo da Vinci's final resting place, the Clos Lucé.
Day 5: Chenonceau loop (46 km)
Take beautiful cycle paths to reach the Château de Chenonceau. It welcomes you in a spectacular way, standing majestically above the Cher. Nicknamed the "Château des Dames", it was marked by the influence of its patrons and administrators, Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici.
Day 6: Vineyard loop (23 km)
This short loop takes you through the vineyards of Montlouis-sur-Loire, renowned for their delicious white wines. Pedal along the road that winds between hillsides and bucolic landscapes. Return to Amboise.
Day 7: Amboise
End of the tour after breakfast. Last chance to visit the Royal Castle or stroll through the medieval streets. Additional night(s) optional.
