Loop 1: Orchard and Remembrance Route (50 km)
The circuit winds between fields and orchards, offering a bucolic setting. In spring, the fruit trees are in bloom and in summer, full of fruit ready to be harvested. Many memorials to the 1870 war mark the route. If you want to know more, visit the Museum of the Battle of August 6, 1870 in Woerth. Poignant exhibitions immerse you in the heart of this historic battle.
Loop 2: Between medieval fortresses and mystical forests (45 km)
Take a walk in the wooded hills of the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park. On the route, two important medieval fortresses can be explored: Fleckenstein and Wasigenstein castles. Our tip: take the charming marked trails of the Vosges Club to visit them on foot.

This circuit takes you to discover the natural riches and geothermal forces of the region. Visit Morsbronn-les-Bains and its thermal waters. Pass through Lobsann, a former mining town where asphalt was mainly extracted. It was also in this region that the first oil wells in France and even in Europe were drilled. Everything is remarkably illustrated at the French Petroleum Museum in Merkwiller-Pechelbronn.
Loop 4: The Peace Tour (50 km)
This route is a little more demanding due to the many climbs. We recommend a good physical condition. Cross the border with Germany and visit picturesque villages and many monuments dedicated to peace and reconciliation. At the place called "Schwarze Tafel" browse the exhibition on Franco-German friendship. The site "Area 1" and its 85 bunkers, presents the history of the former special weapons camp of the Cold War.
