Day 2: From Porto to Furadouro or its surroundings (40-45 km)
This first cycling leg begins by crossing the Douro River. You'll reach the city's most prestigious port wine cellars. Day 3: From Furadouro or its surroundings to Aveiro (40 km + ferry ride)
Today, nature has some wonderful surprises in store for you. Begin by exploring the Aveiro lagoon and, before you know it, you'll be surrounded by water. At the São Jacinto Dunes Nature Reserve, birdwatching is a must. Nearby, you can observe salt extraction at the salt pans. This stage ends by boat, as a ferry takes you to Aveiro, your overnight stop. The city is nicknamed the Portuguese Venice because of its canals and its "Moliceiro" boats, a type of colorful gondola.
Overnight in Aveiro.
Day 4: From Aveiro to Praia de Mira or surrounding areas (35 km)
Like the day before, this stage begins in the Aveiro lagoon, which will take you to Costa Nova. The seaside resort is known for its white houses with colorful stripes, which are very photogenic. You have time to enjoy the long, wide, sandy beach or soak up the atmosphere in this peaceful but charming seaside resort.

Day 5: From Praia de Mira or its surroundings to Figueira da Foz (50 km)
Today's route is gently hilly. You cycle through a dune landscape and gently sloping hills. You pass through a pine forest before reaching the coast, which is quite different from the previous days. Steeper, you can admire the cliffs by following the cycle path, which offers beautiful viewpoints before reaching the Cabo Mondego lighthouse. Just a few kilometres left to reach Figueira da Foz, a beautiful, lively village with, of course, a beautiful beach.
Overnight in Figueira da Fox.
Day 6: From Figueira da Foz to Sintra (transfer) and from Sintra to Cascais (35 km)
After breakfast, transfer to the royal town of Sintra. Stroll through its streets and admire the many palaces and mansions. Hop on your bike for a steep descent to the coast. After the descent, the route takes you mainly uphill to Cascais. But every effort is rewarded with panoramic views of the sea and dreamlike coves. In Cascais, the town center is authentic and has a unique style. Its promenade is also worth a visit.

You'll cycle to Estoril along the cycle path that runs along the coast. Continue a little further to the mouth of the Tagus River. The famous Belem Tower is directly on your route. End of the tour after breakfast. Extend the fun in Lisbon with one or more additional nights.
