Day 1- embarkation in Lyon

Arrival on board the ship around 5 p.m. Take the time to put your luggage in your cabin and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. You meet the crew and your fellow travelers for this week.

Day 2 - Lyon - Tournon-sur-Rhône - 35 km

For this first day of excursion, you leave Vienna to go to the nature reserve of Ile au Beurre, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature! The landscape will slowly transform into vineyards in the land of the Côte Rôtie. Then discover the green landscape of the Ardèche countryside. During dinner, the ship will sail to Tournon sur Rhône.

Day 3 - Tournon-sur-Rhône - Le Pouzin - 33/58/73 km

On a short bike ride, cross the typical small villages of the Ardèche, historic sites and the lush green meadows of a nature reserve towards Valence. In this city with its colorful markets and historic districts, you will find the barge. The long route will take you through the Drôme to the ancient town of Crest! For the third option, from Tournon, an old steam train will take you with your bike to Lamastre on the Dolce Via cycle path. For 73 km, you cross the mountainous landscapes of the Ardèche through tunnels and along ravines.

Day 4 - Le Pouzin - Viviers - 42 km

Today, the visit will take you past the medieval abbey of Cruas and the Rochemaure bridge also called the Himalayan footbridge! At the end of the day, leave your bike on the boat and enjoy a ride through the historic village of Viviers.

Day 5 - Viviers - Avignon - 40 km

After a morning of sailing, you drive through the town of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, also famous for its wine! Once you have passed the hilly landscape around Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you will be rewarded with a long, entirely flat cycle path along the river ... Enjoy a panoramic view of Avignon!

Day 6 - Avignon - Tarascon / Arles - 50/58 km

Today take a walk to the city of Avignon. The easier and longer route will guide you on Via Rhôna. The shorter but more arduous route is a stage that will take your breath away ... Discover the Alpilles, with the hilltop villages of Baux-de-Provence and Saint Rémy de Provence! A landscape of cliffs and olive trees will accompany you throughout the walk. For keen cyclists, there is the possibility of taking a long walk inland (over 70 km) to the best preserved Roman aqueduct in Europe: the Pont du Gard.

Day 7 - Tarascon / Arles - Arles - 21/50 km

For this last day of excursion, you have two possibilities of cycling.
For people wishing to stay longer in Arles to explore its villages, we have prepared a nice 21 km route where you will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh. If you want to spend your last day cycling, the longer option, enjoy a pleasant ride in the Camargue along the Rhône delta. You can even see the famous wild horses of the Camargue!

Day 8 - Arles, end of the tour after breakfast

Disembarkation before 10 am.
