Day 1: Amsterdam | Sailing from Amsterdam to Haarlem

Boarding and settling into your cabin starts at 2:00 PM. Once everyone is on board, we set sail for Haarlem, passing through a lock steeped in history. Upon arrival, you will get a feel for your bike during a short test ride, followed by a welcome dinner on board. The rest of the evening is yours to explore Haarlem at your leisure.

Day 2: Keukenhof Loop (50 km)

Today, we cycle to Keukenhof—arguably the world's most famous flower park—where hundreds of thousands of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and other varieties bloom depending on the season. You will have plenty of time to stroll among the flowerbeds and enjoy the spectacular display of colors. We then return to Haarlem, cycling through quintessential Dutch landscapes.

Day 3: Haarlem to Alkmaar (50 km)

A day full of discoveries. We depart early by coach (6:30 AM) for the Aalsmeer flower market—the largest in the world—where millions of flowers are traded every morning*. We return to the boat around 9:00 AM for a leisurely late breakfast. The program continues with a beautiful ride through the North Holland Dune Reserve, a protected coastal area of ​​dunes, wild grasses, and fresh sea air, where grazing cattle and wild ponies can sometimes be spotted. We stop at Egmond, a seaside resort where you can sip coffee while gazing at the horizon or dip your feet in the North Sea, before continuing to Alkmaar. The boat docks near the town center, making it perfect for an evening stroll after dinner.
*The Aalsmeer flower market is closed on weekends and public holidays; this optional visit may not be available on certain departure dates.

Day 4: Cycling from Alkmaar to Zaanse Schans (40 km) | Cruise from Zaanse Schans to Amsterdam

After breakfast, the cycle route takes you through the historic windmill area of ​​the Schermer polder before reaching De Rijp. This picturesque village has preserved its heritage through its wooden facades, church, lock, and town hall.
The route continues to Zaanse Schans, a veritable open-air museum featuring iconic windmills (one of which is open to visitors), traditional wooden houses, a reconstructed period village, a cheese shop, and a clog-making workshop. Here, you will rejoin the boat for an afternoon cruise to Amsterdam. Once there, enjoy some free time to explore the capital at your own pace—whether it’s the famous flower market, a museum, or some shopping, there is no shortage of options.

Day 5: Amsterdam

End of the tour: disembarkation after breakfast, by 9:30 AM at the latest.

These are the people responsible for your bike boat vacation:
On board, the captain and his cabin boy. They are in charge of the smooth running of the vacation on the boat, and take the boat from stage to stage. The cook prepares the meals.
Each morning, if you wish, you can take benefit of the advice on the route to follow and additional tourist information.

Meals :

• Breakfasts: on the boat you will find a Dutch breakfast.
• Lunches: after breakfast, you will prepare your own packed lunch (sandwiches, fruit, snacks, drinks).
• Snacks: after the day's ride, you will find various drinks such as tea and coffee prepared for your return
• Dinners: at least three dishes. After dinner, youmay take a cup of coffee or tea

Other drinks, such as wine, beer, lemonade and mineral water, are not included but can be purchased on board at a reasonable price.

Cycling:

• The rented bikes will be equipped with panniers, a lock and a tire repair kit. There is no helmet on board.
• If you take your own bike, it cannot be insured against theft by our company, you will have to make the necessary arrangements with your usual insurance company. Do not forget your anti-theft device. The return of your bike will be at your expense.

Transportation : 

• By train: The departure cities of the bike and boat tours are served by rail. Amsterdam station is very well served: several trains run to and from France daily. The Thalys is the fastest.
• By plane : AMSTERDAM International Airport.
