At La Bicyclette Verte, while we've been traveling by bike since 1986 (learn more about our history), we became ambassadors for bike and boat holidays in 1992. Our first bike and boat tour in the Netherlands was launched. It was then possible to visit this flat country by water along its most beautiful canals, rivers, and streams. The Netherlands by bike and boat is a no-brainer. The Dutch built their country around water management. Much of today's land has been reclaimed from the sea over the years, thanks to remarkable ingenuity and know-how. Bicycle tour by boat in Europe: a relaxing bike ride and cruise

The bicycle and boat tour is an original and surprising format. There's nothing better for a change of scenery during your cycling vacation. Cycle during the day and discover the surrounding regions before relaxing in the evening at your floating hotel. The "bicycle and boat" package includes numerous services and offers several options to personalize your cycling experience (group tour, on-board guide, etc.).

The boats we have chosen to offer you remain in the "hiking and nature" spirit that we appreciate. They are not ocean liners, but rather barges. The smallest are 30 meters long and the medium-sized ones are around 110 meters long and are specifically adapted for the "bicycle and boat" package. Each boat is different, but they all have a pleasant dining room, a spacious deck for bicycles and e-bikes, and comfortable cabins for two people (sometimes for three or four people). All cabins are equipped with hot and cold running water, a shower/toilet, 220V electricity, and Wi-Fi on board.

All our cycling and boating holidays are full-board. This means you'll feel completely relaxed as you let yourself be guided during this bike cruise. The crew takes care of everything. Generally, a briefing at dinnertime presents the next day's program. On some tours, a guide even pedals with the group!
