Discover the north of Flanders by bike.

The cycling holidays offered here allow you to discover some of the most beautiful and typical cities of northern Flanders, such as Bruges, Ghent or Antwerp.

  • Bruges, nicknamed the "Venice of the North", is a city with a strong heritage from medieval times and it is a delight to cycle through its streets and canals.
  • Ghent is a very pleasant student city where, in addition to visiting very beautiful monuments (Gravensteen castle, Saint-Nicolas church, Sain-Bavon cathedral ...), you can enjoy the lively city center and many charming squares where welcoming pubs flourish.
  • Antwerp has also been marked by history, and Renaissance architecture is reflected in the Grand-Place, located in the heart of the old town. It is the most populous city in the country and the second European port after Rotterdam.

Between these 3 cities, discover natural reserves, remarkable cultural attractions, picturesque villages and charming local rivers (Escaut, Durme, ...).

The southwest of the Netherlands by bike.

Between Amsterdam and the Belgian border, several remarkable sites are on the program. Kinderdijk and its 19 mills (the best preserved group of mills in the country) are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are worth a visit. Willemstad and its fortified city or the Keekrak locks are remarkable constructions. Utrecht, a very dynamic and constantly evolving city, is appreciated for its medieval heritage (churches, Saint-Martin's cathedral), its green canals bordered by terraces or the Schrodër house, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Discover the Netherlands by bike and hotel or by bike and boat.

The land of the bicycle does not bear its nickname for nothing. In Amsterdam, for example, 44% of daily trips are made by bicycle, while in Paris it is only 3%. With this in mind, bicycle trips are also a traditional way of traveling in the Netherlands and cycle tourism is popular. The cycle paths are very numerous and the system of "points-nodes" makes it possible to locate oneself easily, wherever one is.

It is therefore obvious for la Bicyclette Verte to offer cycling holidays in the Netherlands to make you discover or re-discover the magnificent landscapes of the flat country: tulip fields, windmills, picturesque villages, polders, historic towns. , canals, natural or artificial coastline ...
