Begin your cycle route on the Sky Road from Clifden to the Renvyle Peninsula. The Sky Road takes you to the edge of Connemara with breathtaking views over the rocky Atlantic coast. You then pass through the Connemara National Park, in the village of Letterfrack, where you can put down your bike and stroll on hiking trails. Arriving on the Renvyle Peninsula, you will be enchanted by this rugged landscape jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean and is home to a community of fishermen.

From the Renvyle Peninsula you visit the pretty village of Tullycross with its traditional thatched cottages. Then you continue to Kylemore Abbey. This Gothic-style castle was built in 1867 and has one of the most beautiful gardens in Ireland. As you leave Kylemore, you will experience the majestic Twelve Bens mountain range as you pass beneath its impressive peaks. Killary Harbor, Ireland's only fjord, can be seen as you round a bend. In Louisburgh, take a break to take in the gentle pace of life in a small farming town in the west of Ireland. Following the coastal road once more, along the shores of Clew Bay, you reach Westport.
