Bike cruise on the Tulip Road, Amsterdam and Haarlem
Discover Holland by bike in the most beautiful way, crossing the immense fields of tulips! Visit the most beautiful regions of the Netherlands on this short bike and boat trip aboard the Fluvius. You will have the pleasure of discovering the canals of the beautiful city of Amsterdam and visiting famous flower markets.
The highlights of the stay on the Tulip Route:
- The famous open-air museum of Zaanse Schans

- the historic town of Haarlem.
Day 1 : Amsterdam | Amsterdam - Zaandam
Boarding and check-in at 2 p.m. Upon arrival of the passengers, a short cruise takes you to Zaandam, a village famous for its windmills. Your barge is docked in the city center for the night. Upon arrival, you can test your bike in the surrounding area. In the evening, enjoy a short stroll through the picturesque center of Zaandam.
Day 2 : Zaandam - Zaanse Schans - Zaandam | Zaandam - Haarlem (24 km or 34 km)
After breakfast, you cycle 5 km to the open-air museum "Zaanse Schans" with its beautiful windmills, traditional wooden houses, an old Dutch village, a cheese farm and a traditional wooden clog maker.
In the afternoon, you can choose between:
- Cycling(24 km) to Haarlem
- Relaxing on board while admiring the scenery.
In Haarlem, visit the historical city center with the Grote Markt and Saint Bavo Church. The Fluvius is moored not far from the center of Haarlem for the night, so you have time to take a short stroll around town in the afternoon or evening.
Day 3 : Haarlem - Keukenhof - Oude Wetering (38 km or 55 km)
Today you go to the Keukenhof, the world's most famous flower park, where you can admire hundreds of thousands of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and many other flowers in full bloom. After a long visit, you take your bike back to Oude Wetering, a small village, where your floating hotel awaits you.
Day 4 : Oude Wetering - Nieuwe Meer - Amsterdam (28 km)
Optionnal: Early bus tour (6.30am) of the world's largest flower auction in Aalsmeer. In the morning, millions of flowers are auctioned off and are instantly sent to all parts of the world.
At 9 a.m., you return to your houseboat for a late breakfast while cruising to Amsterdam.
In the afternoon you can take a final bike ride to reach Amsterdam. Visit the Amsterdam city center flower market, a museum or take the opportunity to shop.
Optional: canal tour at the end of the day in Amsterdam.
Day 5 : Amsterdam
Disembarkation after breakfast until 9:30 am: end of your trip.
