Short stay in the heart of the vineyards of Southern Burgundy by bike

We offer you a long weekend in the heart of a prestigious wine region, between the towns of Dijon and Beaune. Immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of the Burgundy vineyards, an ideal setting for a wine-tasting getaway. From Dijon, embark on an exploration of the famous terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Let yourself be seduced by the charm of wine-producing villages with prestigious “Grands Crus” such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Vougeot, Pommard and Meursault.

Day 1 - Arrival in Dijon
You will be welcomed at your hotel for the handing over of the travel booklet, bikes and some practical information for the good cycling trip in Burgundy. Dinner is not included but don't hesitate ask the hotel receptionist for recommandations. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, so you're only a few steps away from the lively city centre and its pretty buildings: Dukes' Palace, Notre Dame Church, museums...

Day 2 - Dijon to Beaune by the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits ~ 45 km
After a good night's sleep, start your day with a good breakfast before cycling! Leave the city behind and enter the welcoming countryside, where the vineyards soon come into their own. This is the “Route des Grands Crus”, starting with the greatest appellation of the “Côte de Nuits”: Gevrey Chambertin. The most widely grown grape variety is “Pinot Noir”, with famous wines such as Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée, Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze, Fixin and Flagey-Echézeaux. You arrive in Beaune via the high plateaux and the villages of Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-Lès-Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses.

Day 3 - Cycling in the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune ~30 km
Having reached Beaune from the north, we're now heading south. The vineyards we pass through are all as famous as those of yesterday: Pommard, Meursault, Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet. As well as making some of the best white wines in the world, the villages are charming and authentic. You'll be back in Beaune in the afternoon, as the route is not difficult.
