The heritage on the route is also a strong point with well-preserved medieval villages nestled on top of hills and imposing castles.

Day 1: Arrival in Lyon
Arrival in Lyon from where a taxi transfer will take you to your hotel in Anse or Ambérieux d'Azergues. We will give you the information and documents to ensure you have a good bike trip.
Overnight in Anse or Ambérieux d’Azergues.
Day 2: from Anse/Ambérieux d'Azergues to Vaux en Beaujolais - 44 km
Your cycling journey begins in La Terre des Pierres Dorées. Traditional houses were built with stones cut from a rare type of limestone, which gives a golden hue to the buildings made from it. The authentic and preserved villages offer a journey through time to their visitors.
The positive altitude difference of 920m will give you a bit of a challenge (unless you opt for the VAE) but also and above all breathtaking panoramic views. Oingt, among the most beautiful villages in France, is great proof of this. This fortified city offers a 360° view from its medieval tower.

Day 3: from Vaux en Beaujolais to Romanèche Thorins - 29 km
The route takes you to the heart of the Beaujolais Villages appellation vineyards. Arriving at Romanèche Thorins, a tour of Hameau Duboeuf awaits you. This theme park is aimed at amateurs and experienced connoisseurs alike. Tasting possible.

Day 4: from Romanèche Thorins to Mâcon - 33 km
Today, some pretty appellations are on the program: Moulin à Vent, Chénas, Fleurie, Julienas or Saint Amour. You are in the Beaujolais valley. Before reaching Mâcon, you pass next to the Roche de Solutré. A unique landscape that leaves no stone unturned. When you see it, you will know.
